Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

In short: we collect only what we need to run your account and the AI assistant. Your questions are sent to Google Gemini to generate answers, and we don’t save them on our server. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we are

MarkGen is a digital marketing, creative and technology studio operating the website asksufyan.com. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “our”, it means MarkGen. You can contact us about anything in this policy at asksufyan.markgen@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored as a secure one-way hash, so we can never see or recover your actual password.
  • Usage records: the time each question is sent to the assistant, so we can apply the daily question limit. These records don’t include what you asked.
  • Sign-in security records: the IP address and time of failed sign-in attempts, used to block repeated password guessing.
  • Messages you send us: if you email us about a project, we keep that correspondence so we can reply and work with you.

How the AI assistant handles your questions

When you ask the assistant something, your question and the recent messages in that conversation are sent through our server to Google Gemini, an AI service provided by Google, which writes the answer. Our server passes the conversation along but does not store it. Your browser keeps the current conversation only until you close the tab, start a new brief or sign out.

Google processes these requests under its own terms and privacy policy. We currently use Google’s free Gemini service, under which Google may review and use the content sent to it to improve its products. For that reason, please don’t enter confidential, sensitive or personal information (such as health details, financial information or other people’s personal data) into the assistant.

AI-generated drafts can contain mistakes. Check facts, prices and claims before you publish anything.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie that keeps you signed in. It contains a random session identifier and is deleted when you sign out or after 14 days of inactivity. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers to download them. Google receives technical information such as your IP address when this happens.

How we use your information

  • To create and run your account and keep you signed in.
  • To provide the AI assistant and apply fair daily usage limits.
  • To protect the site and your account from misuse.
  • To reply to your enquiries and deliver services you ask us for.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the providers needed to run the service: Hostinger, which hosts our website and database, and Google, which provides the Gemini AI service and Google Fonts. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details for as long as your account is open. Usage and sign-in security records are kept only as long as they’re useful for limits and security. If you ask us to delete your account, we’ll remove your account details and related records.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. To make a request, email asksufyan.markgen@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Our site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, passwords are hashed, the AI service key is kept on our server, and repeated failed sign-ins are blocked. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong password that you don’t use anywhere else.

Children

MarkGen is intended for businesses and adults. It isn’t designed for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date at the top.
